At WWDC 2024, Apple unveiled the latest version of its Mac operating system. Apple calls it macOS Sequoia which will be released later this year. There are also several notable features including the new Password app, Safari Highlights, iPhone Mirroring, and more.

If you want to know if your Mac supports macOS Sequoia, here’s a list of devices that are compatible with macOS Sequoia.

It seems there is no change in hardware requirements from Sonoma to Sequoia for MacBook Pro. However, the story is different for MacBook Air models. Only the final Intel model released in the 2020s is compatible. All MacBook Air models launched with Apple Silicon will support MacOS 15 Sequoia.

macOS Sequoia 15 is expected to be widely available by September 2024 alongside iOS18, iPadOS 18, and watchOS 11. It is currently in developer beta and the company will soon release public beta. If you do not want to wait until the stable release, you can install the beta version to try features that will come with macOS Sequoia.

It is worth noting you need a Mac with an M1 chip or later to get Apple Intelligence features. Even if your Intel-based MacBook pr is getting MacOS 15 Sequoia, you won’t get the AI features of Apple Intelligence suite.
