EA’s iconic skateboarding franchise is back with Skate., and fans cannot wait to shred the streets of San Vansterdam. Early Access for the game officially begins on September 16, 2025. This gives players a chance to experience the game before its full release in 2026. Here’s everything you need to know about getting in early and what to expect.

Early Access officially begins on September 16, 2025. Players who signed up for Skate Insiders before June 27, 2025, automatically unlock the game. Other gamers need to download it. Once you are in, you can explore San Vansterdam, perform tricks using the Flick-it control system, and try the Quick Drop builder mode to create ramps, rails, and custom skateparks. The game supports up to 150 players per server, and cross-platform play lets you skate with friends regardless of device.

Early Access comes with perks designed to enhance your experience:

  • Test new tricks and parkour-inspired moves
  • Explore hidden areas and bustling streets
  • Participate in community-driven updates
  • Earn exclusive Insider rewards, including skateboards and sticker sets

How to Join Early Access

The fastest way to get Early Access was by signing up as a Skate Insider before June 27, 2025. Insider members also received access to Playtest Update 0.27 starting July 2, 2025, plus exclusive rewards.

If you missed Insider registration, wishlisting, or pre-registering is the next best option. You will get notifications when Early Access goes live and updates on new features.

The game will be available for the following platforms:
