Twitter Acquires Malware Protection Company Dasient

Twitter has acquired Dasient, Malware Protection Company. Company will integrate this to newly added advertising platform

Twitter acquired DasientTwitter has announced to its acquisition of spam and malware protection service Dasient. Twitter is looking to integrate it into Twitter’s revenue engineering team. Twitter introduces self-serve advertising platform back in November 2011 and company looking to make this platform secure.

“Dasient will be integrated into Twitter’s revenue engineering team because they have a deep understanding of advertising-platform security issues,” says Rachael Horwitz, a spokesperson for Twitter.

Dasient is a cloud based web antimalware technology company which protect advertisement networks and publishers from malicious ads. “Over the last year, we have been very active in securing the ads and content of the some of the industry’s largest ad networks and web sites,” Neil Daswani, the company’s co-founder and chief technology officer, said in a blog post.
