Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in India, expanding its popular Note lineup. The new phone focuses on a slim design, a bright OLED display, and a high-resolution camera, while also promising long software support.
The Redmi Note 15 5G features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says the screen can reach up to 3200 nits of peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility. The display also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 12-bit color depth. It also supports 3840Hz PWM high-frequency PWM dimming.
It packs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, built on a 4nm process. Adreno 710 GPU handles the graphics requirements. Xiaomi has paired it with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. There is also support for microSD cards, which allows users to expand storage up to 1TB.

The phone runs Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 on top. Xiaomi has confirmed strong long-term support, with four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches. This makes it one of the better options in its price segment for software longevity. The software has deeper integration of Google Gemini. So, it offers Gemini Live and Circle to Search with Google.
The Redmi Note 15 5G comes with a 108MP main rear camera, which is a step up from the version sold in China. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the phone has a 20MP selfie camera for photos and video calls. The rear camera can record up to 4K at 30fps videos and 1080p 30fps videos from the front camera.

The phone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared blaster. It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Connectivity options are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and USB Type-C.
It packs a 5520mAh silicon carbon battery and supports 45W fast charging. Xiaomi includes the charger in the box.
The phone is also quite slim at just 7.35mm, giving it a sleek and modern look. Redmi Note 15 5G comes with IP65 and IP66 ratings for dust and splash resistance. Xiaomi also claims military-grade durability, which should add some peace of mind for daily use.
