At the Apple Event, the company unveiled its latest AirPods Pro. Apple has redesigned them with better sound, stronger noise cancellation, health tracking, and even real-time language translation.
Apple claims these are the best-fitting AirPods ever. The ear tips now come in five sizes, including a new extra-extra small (XXS) option. It also features IP57 water resistance.
Apple says the AirPods Pro 3 offer the world’s best in-ear ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). They can block up to twice as much noise as AirPods Pro 2 and four times more than the first-generation AirPods Pro. This is made possible with new microphones, computational audio, and foam-infused ear tips that improve passive noise isolation. Transparency mode has also been improved to make voices sound more natural, so you can stay aware of your surroundings.
It also offers voice translation powered by Apple Intelligence. Just a simple gesture activates the real-time translation, and this feature seems really impressive. You can just speak in your language, and its real-time translation will be shown on your iPhone for the other person to understand. At launch, the feature supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more languages like Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified) coming later this year.
AirPods Pro 3 is not just for music; it is also an impressive workout companion. For the first time, AirPods can track your fitness. The AirPods Pro 3 include a heart rate sensor and can track over 50 different workout types when paired with the Fitness app on iPhone. Apple is also introducing Workout Buddy, an AI-powered fitness experience that gives personalized feedback and motivation based on your activity.
AirPods Pro 3 also comes with features like Hearing Tests, Conversation Boost, and Hearing Protection built in.
Battery life also gets a boost. With ANC on, AirPods Pro 3 can now deliver up to eight hours of playback, which is 33 percent more than the previous model. In Transparency mode, they last up to 10 hours on a single charge.
The AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 in the U.S. Pre-orders start today, and availability begins on Friday, September 19 in more than 50 countries. Buyers also get three months of free Apple Music and Apple Fitness+.
