King of Meat Launches October 7 on PS5, Xbox, and PC, Switch Version Coming in 2026

Amazon Games and Glowmade have announced the release date for King of Meat, a four-player cooperative party platformer. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on October 7. A Nintendo Switch version will arrive in early 2026.

Players who buy the Deluxe Edition will get early access starting October 2. Both the Standard Edition (£23.95) and Deluxe Edition (£39.95) include the Venerable Defender Legendary Costume, a samurai-inspired outfit with matching sword, shield, and stickers. The Deluxe Edition also comes with extra character sets to let players start their dungeon runs in style.

King of Meat is all about chaotic fun with friends. Up to four players can dive into dungeons filled with puzzles, challenges, and wild monsters. Players can take on official dungeons, try out community-built ones, or even build and share their own creations in Create Mode. At launch, the game will feature over 100 dungeons, and that number will grow quickly as the community adds more.

Before release, Glowmade is running a Technical Test on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series from August 23 to August 24. This short test will let players try out the game and share feedback to improve the final experience. Twitch Drops will also be available during the test, with rewards carrying over into the full game.

The developers have also shared their approach to monetization. King of Meat will not have any pay-to-win elements, and all purchases will be cosmetic only. There will be no loot boxes or randomized systems, so players will always know what they are buying. Future updates, including new modes, customization, and dungeons, will be free for all players.

With its mix of cooperative gameplay, player creativity, and a fair monetization model, King of Meat looks like it could become a fun party game for both casual and competitive players.
