Microids Announces Syberia Remastered for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Syberia Remastered

Microids has officially announced Syberia Remastered, a modern remake of the iconic point-and-click adventure game created by Benoît Sokal. The game is being developed by Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris and will release in Q4 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

The game was originally released in 2002 and is known for its beautiful storytelling, unique visuals, and unforgettable characters. Now, more than 20 years later, the game is getting a complete makeover. Players will get to revisit the magical world of Syberia with stunning new 3D graphics, smoother gameplay, and a modern user interface. All while keeping the original charm intact.

The environments have been fully rebuilt, staying true to Benoît Sokal’s artistic vision. The game’s key characters and locations have also been redesigned, offering both new and returning players a more immersive experience.

In the game, you play as Kate Walker, a smart lawyer from New York. She travels to a quiet village in the French Alps to handle the sale of an old automaton factory. But what starts as a simple legal task quickly turns into an unexpected adventure.

Kate also gets the support of Oscar, a charming automaton, to uncover the mystery behind Hans Voralberg, a genius inventor chasing a dream to find the last living mammoths on the mysterious island of Syberia.

The Ramaster will get modern visuals with redesigned characters and improved environments in full 3D. Classic mechanical puzzles are now more intuitive while keeping their original feel. The game has updated controls and smoother navigation that make it perfect for modern consoles and PCs.

If you enjoy emotional stories, mysterious settings, and puzzle-solving, Syberia Remastered is one to watch.
