After Jio and Airtel increased prices of prepaid and postpaid plans, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has also revised prepaid and postpaid tarries and hiked prices by up to 20%. Now the base monthly plan starts at Rs. 199 and the yearly plan now costs Rs. 3499.
Revised prices will go into effect starting July 4, 2024.
This is the first major price hike by telecom operators since 2021. The price hike aims to boost average revenue per user because the companies have been making huge investments in 5G services.
