Bose has expanded its open-ear audio lineup with two new wireless earbuds. The company has introduced the second-generation Bose Ultra Open Earbuds and the new Bose Sport Open Earbuds, targeting users who want to listen to music while staying aware of their surroundings.

The Ultra Open Earbuds are positioned as Bose’s flagship open-ear model, while the Sport Open Earbuds offer a more affordable option aimed at running, fitness, and outdoor activities.

For calls, Bose has added SpeechClarity technology to keep voices clear. The earbuds also feature Auto Volume, which automatically adjusts the listening level based on changes in the surrounding environment.

Another major addition is Cinema Mode, which uses Bose TrueSpatial technology to create a wider soundstage. Bose says the feature keeps dialogue centered and clear while providing a more immersive, theater-like experience with any content source.

The earbuds have a redesigned metallic cap with a beveled finish, along with a new charging case that can stand upright and supports wireless charging. The earbuds offer up to 9 hours of battery life, while the case provides an additional 19.5 hours.

Bose Sport Open Earbuds

The Sport Open Earbuds are designed specifically for active users. Bose says the design keeps them securely in place during running, workouts, and other outdoor activities.

They use custom-designed dynamic drivers and support Auto Volume. Physical buttons with a textured finish provide controls without requiring users to reach for their phones.

Both models use Bluetooth 5.4 and support multipoint connectivity with two devices. They also support Google Fast Pair and offer customizable shortcuts for Spotify Tap and a phone’s voice assistant.

The Bose app includes a three-band EQ and controls for Auto Volume. Bose also plans to add Google Find Hub, Alexa+, and Apple Music shortcut support through a future firmware update.
