Xiaomi has increased the price of its Xiaomi Pad 8 in India. The tablet was launched in March this year, but now it costs more across all variants. The price has gone up by Rs. 2,000.
The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model now costs Rs. 35,999 instead of Rs. 33,999. The higher 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is now priced at Rs. 38,999, up from Rs. 36,999. The bundle with the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro now costs Rs. 43,999 instead of Rs. 41,999.
The Nano Texture display version has also become more expensive. The 12GB + 256GB model now costs Rs. 40,999, and the bundled version with the Focus Pen Pro is now priced at Rs. 45,999.
The revised prices are already live on the Xiaomi India website. The reason for the price hike is not officially confirmed. However, rising component costs and global supply issues are likely factors. Recently, brands like OnePlus, Poco, and Lava also increased prices of their devices in India.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to 144Hz refresh rate. The display also offers up to 800 nits peak brightness. The Nano Texture model reduces glare and reflections for better outdoor use. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 software.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with Adreno GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5T RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The tablet includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The tablet also features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support. It packs a 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The tablet supports the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus and keyboard accessories for a laptop-like setup. The stylus offers high pressure sensitivity for drawing and note taking.
