vivo has announced its latest flagship smartphone, the vivo X300s, at its spring launch event in China. The new X300s brings upgrades in display, performance, and camera, with a strong focus on imaging and battery life.

Along with the phone, the company also introduced a new G2 teleconverter accessory focused on mobile photography.

The vivo X300s features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is the first X series phone to get a 144Hz panel.

The display uses 8T LTPO technology and a Q10 Plus luminescent substrate. It supports HDR10+, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, DC-like dimming, and up to 4500 nits peak brightness. The panel also covers 100 percent P3 color gamut.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 3nm processor with Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. It also includes vivo’s V3+ imaging chip for better image processing.

It comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6.

The camera setup is one of the biggest highlights.

  • 200MP main camera with 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPBr sensor, f/1.68 aperture, and OIS
  • 50MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture
  • 50MP periscope telephoto camera with Sony LYTIA 602 sensor, f/2.57 aperture, OIS, and 3.5x optical zoom

The telephoto lens also supports macro shooting and comes with ZEISS APO certification and ZEISS T coating.

For selfies, the phone has a 50MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone also introduces Zoom Flash II, which improves color rendering by 14 percent. On the software side, features like Blueprint Color Palette and AI Creation Camera aim to enhance creative photography.

The phone has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. It also has Stereo speakers with Hi-Fi audio and supports USB Type-C audio. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and multiple GPS systems, including NavIC.

The vivo X300s packs a 7100mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

The phone is also IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance. It measures 161.98×75.48×8mm and weighs 217g.

G2 Teleconverter

vivo also launched the G2 teleconverter alongside the phone. It weighs 153 grams and measures 96mm in length. It features a 15-element optical design with ZEISS APO standards and supports 200mm portrait video recording. The company is positioning it as a portable accessory for serious mobile photography.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo X300s is priced in China as follows:

  • 12GB + 256GB – 4,999 yuan

The vivo X300s focuses heavily on display, camera, and battery. A 144Hz AMOLED panel with up to 4500 nits brightness is impressive, and the 7100mAh battery is one of the biggest in this segment. The camera hardware also looks strong on paper, especially with the 200MP sensor and ZEISS-backed telephoto lens. But as always, real-world performance will decide how good it actually is.
