The POCO X8 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen uses M10 luminescent material and offers up to 3500 nits peak brightness. It also supports Dolby Vision, 3840Hz high frequency PWM dimming, and DC dimming for better viewing comfort. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The phone features a metal frame and glass back panel. It has narrow bezels and rounded corners to make the phone comfortable to hold. The device also includes dynamic RGB LEDs around the rear camera module, which adds a distinctive look.

For durability, the phone comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering protection against dust and water.

The POCO X8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500‑Ultra processor. POCO says this is the first smartphone in India to feature this chipset. The processor is built on a 4nm process and is capable of delivering over 2 million AnTuTu score, according to the company.

The phone also uses LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster performance. To handle heat during gaming or heavy workloads, the device includes a 3D Ice Loop cooling system with a 5300 mm² vapor chamber.

It also comes with Wildboost optimization, which aims to improve gaming performance and stability.

The phone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 out of the box. POCO has promised four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type C. It also has an In display optical fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor.

The smartphone packs a 6500mAh battery, which should easily last through a full day of heavy usage. It supports 100W wired fast charging, which the company says can charge the phone to 100 percent in about 48 minutes. The device also supports the 100W PPS fast charging protocol and 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge other devices.
