OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 in India. The company will reveal full details on April 7 at 7:00 PM IST. The phone is expected to be in the price range of ₹35,000 to ₹40,000.
Like previous Nord series phones, Nord 6 would also target users who want flagship-like performance without spending too much.
The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It is built on a 4nm process and features an Adreno 835 GPU for graphics. OnePlus claims the device scored over 2.5 million points on AnTuTu under specific conditions.
The Nord 6 is said to support up to 165 FPS gameplay in titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India, Call of Duty Mobile, and Free Fire MAX. If this works as claimed, it will be a major highlight for mobile gamers.
The phone will feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display. It supports up to 1800 nits brightness in high brightness mode and a peak HDR brightness of 3600 nits. For eye comfort, it can go as low as 2 nits and uses 3840Hz PWM dimming.
OnePlus is also adding a dedicated Touch Reflex chip for faster response. It enables up to 3200Hz touch sampling rate. The phone also includes a 6-axis gyroscope for better motion control in games. Features like Spatial Audio Booster and Aqua Touch 2.0 are also included to improve gaming and usability, even when fingers are wet.
The phone will also come with a large 9000 mAh battery using silicon-carbon technology. OnePlus claims this can last up to 2.5 days on moderate usage. It is also said to offer around 26.9 hours of YouTube streaming and over 6 hours of 4K video recording at 60fps.
The device supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and is claimed to fully charge in about 70 minutes. There is also support for 27W reverse wired charging.
The OnePlus Nord 6 will be available in three color options: Holographic Quick Silver, Fresh Mint, and Low-Reflection Pitch Black. It will be sold via Amazon, the OnePlus India website, and offline stores.
More details, including pricing and availability, will be confirmed at the launch event on April 7.
