Supergiant Games has announced that Hades II will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Microsoft Store) on April 14. The game will also be available on Game Pass from day one, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

The game first arrived in Early Access on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 6, 2024. It later saw its full release on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and PC on September 25, 2025. With this new launch, console players on PlayStation and Xbox will finally get to experience the highly praised roguelike sequel.

Hades II builds on the success of the original game with a bigger world, deeper mechanics, and a fresh protagonist. You play as the immortal Princess of the Underworld, fighting against the Titan of Time.

The game focuses on fast-paced combat, replayability, and story progression that evolves with every run. Each attempt feels different, thanks to changing environments, upgrades, and character interactions.

Hades II has already received major recognition. It won Best Action Game at The Game Awards 2025 and also took the title of Best Game on Steam Deck.

The game has also shown strong player engagement. According to Techlomedia Gaming Steam charts, it reached a peak of 112,947 concurrent players on September 28, 2025. Even now, it maintains around 5,000 to 8,000 daily peak players, which shows a steady and loyal player base.

This console launch is important for a few reasons. First, it brings one of the best modern roguelike games to a much larger audience. Many players who skipped Early Access or do not play on PC can now jump in.

Second, the Game Pass availability lowers the entry barrier. Players can try the game without paying full price, which could further increase its popularity.

The consistent player numbers also suggest that the game is not just a short-term hit. It has long-term appeal, which is important for roguelike titles.
