FIFA has announced a new football video game that will launch exclusively on Netflix Games in 2026. The release is timed around the FIFA World Cup 2026 and marks FIFA’s return to football games after ending its long-running partnership with Electronic Arts in 2022.

After the split, EA continued its football series under the EA Sports FC name, while FIFA said it would explore new directions in gaming. The partnership with Netflix Games is the first major step in that plan. The upcoming title is described as a newly reimagined football simulation designed for a wider and more casual audience.

The game is being developed and published by Delphi Interactive. It will focus on fast and accessible gameplay that is easy to learn but still engaging to play. According to Netflix, the aim is to capture the emotion and excitement of football in a simple and joyful format. Players will be able to play alone or compete with friends online.

Netflix has confirmed that the game will be available on mobile devices and on select TVs in certain countries. Like other Netflix Games titles, it will be included with a Netflix subscription at no additional cost. On TVs, players will be able to use their phones as controllers, placing the game alongside Netflix shows and movies.

Delphi Interactive is a relatively new studio that has previously worked with IO Interactive. The company says its focus is on working with well-known brands and building modern games through close partnerships. With FIFA and Netflix involved, the studio is aiming to create a football game that feels welcoming to players of all ages.

No gameplay footage, screenshots, or final title have been revealed yet. Netflix says more details will be shared closer to launch. For now, the game is confirmed for release in 2026 and will include both single-player and multiplayer modes.
