The highly anticipated retro side-scroller Terminator 2D: No Fate has been delayed once again. This is the third delay in just six months. Developer Bitmap Bureau has now set the new release date for December 12. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The game was initially scheduled to launch in September, before being pushed to October for additional polishing. It was later moved to November 26, and now fans will have to wait a bit longer. This latest delay is not due to development issues but rather logistical ones.
According to publisher Reef Entertainment, all physical components for the collector’s editions have finally arrived, but the team needs more time to assemble and prepare them for distribution. The publisher explained that they want the physical and digital versions to launch simultaneously, ensuring a smooth and unified release across all platforms.
In a statement addressing the delay, Reef Entertainment said, “We are sincerely sorry for the repeated delays. We don’t take your patience for granted, and we never want to disappoint our community. Our goal has always been to deliver the game that you deserve, and we’re almost there.” The team also thanked fans for their continued support and promised that the wait will soon be over.
Terminator 2D: No Fate is generating strong interest for its classic 2D side-scrolling action inspired by Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The game reimagines key moments from the film while introducing alternate scenarios based on player choices, including scenes like the T-1000 attacking police during the Cyberdyne Systems siege.
