Nintendo has officially launched its Nintendo Store app for both iOS and Android users worldwide. The app was previously known as My Nintendo in Japan and was first introduced in 2020. Now, it has been redesigned, rebranded, and expanded globally. The app offers players an easier way to browse and buy games, consoles, and accessories.

Nintendo Store app allows users to explore Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 systems, digital and physical games, as well as official Nintendo merchandise. It also keeps players informed about the latest game news, sales, and events. Users can sign in with their Nintendo Account to view their play history, including older data from the 3DS and Wii U era, as long as their accounts are linked.

The timing is no coincidence. The Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025, and has already sold over 10 Million units. With that momentum, launching a unified mobile storefront serves several purposes. It will strengthen Nintendo’s digital infrastructure and will also help the company cross-promote hardware, games, and merchandise.

While the app’s current version focuses mainly on browsing and account integration, its existence hints at a broader digital strategy. Nintendo could eventually expand it with in-app purchasing, deeper account management, or integration with its Nintendo Switch Online services.
