Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Skeleton Crew Studio have announced that Forestrike, a tactical kung fu game, will launch on Switch and PC via Steam on November 17.

In Forestrike, you play as Yu, a martial artist on a mission to free the Emperor from the control of an evil Admiral. Along the way, Yu faces many enemies and challenges. He learns techniques from one of five unique Masters, making each battle a combination of strategy and combat.

The game’s unique feature is the Foresight mechanic, which allows Yu to mentally rehearse fights before engaging in them. Players can plan and test different sequences of movements. When the battle begins in reality, every choice matters. Losing means starting over, but progress is permanent, and Yu grows stronger with each encounter.

The Foresight system lets players experiment without consequences before real fights. Each run is unique, so adapting and improvising are essential to succeed. Yu is often outnumbered, but you can use his moves, techniques, and upgrades to defeat multiple enemies efficiently. Battles are like puzzles where strategy and timing are just as important as strength.

Forestrike features a visually striking fantasy world with intricate pixel art, handcrafted characters, and animated landscapes. Players will journey through unique locations filled with enemies, allies, and magical surprises.
