The Epic Games Store has kicked off December 2025 with two new free games. This is the warm-up before its big holiday giveaway begins on December 11, when Epic hands out a free game every day. For now, players can grab The Darkside Detective and The Jackbox Party Pack 4 at no cost for the next seven days.

Both games were released in 2017 and together offer about $40 in value.

The Darkside Detective is a lighthearted point-and-click mystery where players follow Detective Francis McQueen as he investigates strange and supernatural cases in Twin Lakes City. If you enjoyed last week’s free title, Universe for Sale, this one has a similar charm.

The bigger highlight this week is The Jackbox Party Pack 4. It is considered one of the best entries in the long-running party game series and is perfect for holiday gatherings. You can play it with friends or family using phones as controllers, making it easy for anyone to join in.

These two games will remain free until the morning of December 11. After that, Epic’s popular holiday promotion returns, offering a new free game every day until the end of the month.
