Thunderful Games and developer Wishfully have announced that Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf will launch in early 2026. The game will be available for Switch 2, along with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). It will also be included with Game Pass.
The game will also be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which takes place from September 25 to 28 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
In this new chapter, Lana and her companion Mui continue their journey after saving their planet from an invading robot army. The story promises a deeper mystery, tougher challenges, and new environments like icy mountains, deep oceans, and forgotten ruins. Players will uncover secrets of the planet’s past while facing a new threat that tests the unbreakable bond between Lana and Mui.
Planet of Lana II expands on its predecessor with evolved companion gameplay, more diverse puzzles, refined stealth mechanics, and faster action sequences. Players will solve physics-based challenges, interact with hybrid robots, and experience thrilling platforming with new moves like wall jumps and slides.
The story also goes deeper, confronting Lana’s inner struggles while exploring breathtaking worlds, including underwater chapters. Music will once again be composed by Takeshi Furukawa, whose score from the original game was widely praised.
