Paytm Launches ‘Reminders’ to Help Users Manage Recurring Expenses

Paytm has introduced a new feature called ‘Reminders’ that makes it easier for users to manage recurring expenses like tuition fees, rent, or household salaries. The feature is designed to send timely alerts so users do not miss due dates. It also gives them a single place to track all recurring commitments.

Reminders is a simple but effective tool inside the Paytm app. It sends advance notifications for recurring payments. The system is smart enough to detect frequent payments and suggest reminders automatically. Users can also personalize reminders with tags so they know exactly which payment is due – for example, “School Fees,” “Rent,” or “Driver’s Salary.”

Another useful part of the feature is consolidated tracking. Users get a clear view of both pending and completed payments. If something changes, reminders can be reviewed or deleted anytime.

How to Set a Reminder on Paytm

Setting up a reminder is straightforward:

  1. Open the Paytm app and go to the ‘To Mobile’ section.
  2. Tap on the ‘Reminders‘ tab.
  3. Choose a reminder from the suggested list or tap ‘Create New.
  4. Select the contact and date you want to be reminded about.
  5. Optionally, add a payment purpose or tag for easy identification.
  6. Tap ‘Set Reminder.

Once set, Paytm will send a notification on the due date, ensuring that payments are made on time.

It is another step in Paytm’s focus on financial management tools. The company already offers features like a Monthly Spend Summary, spend categorization, personalized UPI IDs, transaction privacy controls, downloadable UPI statements, and even widgets for faster payments.
