Nothing has launched its first open-ear true wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear (Open), in India. It was originally introduced in September last year and is now available for Indian buyers at a price of Rs. 9,999.

The Nothing Ear (Open) comes with a unique open-ear design. It uses a custom patent-pending diaphragm, titanium coating, and an ultra-light driver with a stepped design. This combination reduces distortion and improves bass output while the titanium coating ensures sharp high notes.

The earbuds feature an ear hook made from nickel-titanium wire. This material is flexible, durable, and adds to the overall comfort during long usage.

Buds pack 14.2 mm titanium-coated drivers, and Nothing has added an Automatic Bass Enhance algorithm that optimises low frequencies for richer bass. The headset also includes ChatGPT integration, making it easier for users to interact with the AI assistant directly through the earbuds.

For calls, the earbuds use Clear Voice Technology with three microphones on each side. The company claims this setup has been trained on over 28 million noise scenarios. It also improves wind noise resistance and ensures clear voice quality even in noisy surroundings.

The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 with AAC and SBC codecs. They are compatible with Android (5.0 and above) and iOS (13 and above). Features like Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and Dual Connection are also supported.

For gamers, it comes with 120 ms Low Lag Mode, which automatically works on Nothing phones and can be enabled via the app on other devices.

Battery life is another strong point. Each earbud has a 64mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours of playback or 6 hours of talk time. With the 635mAh charging case, the total goes up to 30 hours of playback or 24 hours of talk time. A quick 10-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of playback.

The earbuds support pinch controls for playback, calls, voice assistant, and volume adjustments. They also come with an advanced equaliser with profile sharing. Both the earbuds and the case are IP54 rated for water resistance, making them safe to use during workouts or in light rain.

The Nothing Ear (Open) is available in White and priced at Rs. 9,999. Buyers can purchase it via Flipkart during the Big Billion Days Sale.
