Nothing is preparing to launch a new pair of over-ear headphones under its budget-friendly brand CMF. The company has confirmed that the CMF Headphone Pro will be officially announced on September 29.
This comes just days after Nothing released the Ear (3) noise-cancelling earbuds. It shows that the company is moving quickly to expand its audio lineup.
The teasers do not reveal much about the upcoming headphones. But they do confirm that the CMF Headphone Pro will come in several color options. Bright orange and light green models have been shown, along with a more subtle gray version.
The design also hints at modular elements. In the teasers, we can see different buttons and controls. One of the most interesting details is something called an energy slider. Its purpose is not yet clear, but it seems to be a unique feature that sets these headphones apart.
There is also what looks like a scrolling wheel, which could be used for volume control. If true, it would make adjusting sound levels faster and more intuitive than traditional buttons.
Nothing has already released the Headphone (1) earlier this year, so the CMF Headphone Pro will be its second over-ear model. Since CMF is positioned as the budget sub-brand, we can expect these headphones to offer a balance of good design, interesting features, and affordable pricing.
With the official launch just around the corner, Nothing is once again creating buzz through teasers rather than detailed reveals. The CMF Headphone Pro could be an important product for the brand, especially if it delivers on performance while keeping the price low.
