Motorola has announced the Edge 60 Neo, the latest addition to its Edge series. It comes as the successor to last year’s Edge 50 Neo and brings several improvements in performance, durability, and battery life.
The Edge 60 Neo features a 6.4-inch flat pOLED LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach up to 3000 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Motorola Edge 60 Neo runs Android 15 out of the box. The company also promises 5 OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates, similar to the predecessor. The device also introduces moto ai, Motorola’s new artificial intelligence platform. It powers features like the Photo Enhancement Engine, which improves image quality by blending exposures and refining details. Users can also apply “Signature Style” presets for photos, tuned with the help of professional photographers. Outside photography, moto ai offers tools like “Next Move,” which suggests actions based on on-screen content, and “Image Studio,” which lets users create images, avatars, and stickers.
The Edge 60 Neo comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to dust and water. It also carries MIL-STD-810H certification, which gives it military-grade toughness.
Motorola has added a triple camera system on the rear. It includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide with macro, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera that can also shoot 4K videos. The camera app now includes Adaptive Stabilization for smoother videos, multiple portrait focal lengths, and a new Dynamic Bokeh effect with adjustable intensity.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. For audio, the device includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Battery capacity has gone up to 5000mAh, compared to 4310mAh in the previous model. It supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Motorola Edge 60 Neo is priced at 399 Euros (around Rs. 41,145) and comes in four Pantone-certified colors: Latte, Frostbite, Poinciana, and Grisaille. It will first be available in Europe this month, with other markets including India to follow soon.
