Playground Games is bringing the next chapter of the Forza Horizon series, and this time, the Horizon Festival is heading to Japan. Fans did not have to wait for the Xbox Tokyo Game Show stream, as the official Forza Horizon Instagram account revealed the news early with a short teaser trailer.
The Instagram post confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will release in 2026. The teaser also showed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title to make it accessible to a wide audience across devices.
This announcement signals a busy year ahead for both Xbox and Playground Games. Earlier in 2025, Xbox chief Phil Spencer had hinted that the next Forza title would arrive in 2026. Forza Horizon 6 will share the spotlight with other major releases like Gears of War: E-Day, a Halo CE remaster, and Playground Games’ own Fable reboot.
The timing is interesting. Forza Horizon 6 will arrive roughly a year after the previous game, Forza Horizon 5, made its way to PS5.
