Chief Rebel and Arc Games have announced that their upcoming multiplayer online dungeon adventure game, Fellowship, is facing a small delay. The early access launch was originally set for October 9, but it will now arrive on Steam on October 16.

Community Director Hamish Bode explained the reason behind the move in a new video. According to him, the delay is only a week, but it gives the development team more time to polish the game. The team has been privately playtesting and making big changes, and they want everything to feel right before letting players in.

There was also another factor in the decision. The week of October 9 is packed with major game releases, including Battlefield 6 and Legion Remix. Moving the date gives Fellowship a better chance to stand out.

Open Beta Details

Before early access, players will get a chance to try the game in the Open Beta. The beta runs on Steam from September 18 to September 23, with servers opening and closing at 10 AM Pacific Time. It will be available in North America, Europe, and Asia.

In the beta, players can choose from seven heroes: two tanks, three DPS, and two healers. They can take part in dungeon runs, either in ranked or quick play modes, and fight tough enemies for epic loot.

Compared to the demo shown at Steam Next Fest in February, this beta includes a lot of new features. Players can expect improved matchmaking, a better group-finding system, and a full progression system with weapons, gems, talents, crafting, and legendary items.

The beta also introduces a new dungeon called Urrak Markets, along with new gear, mounts, and cosmetic customization options. Visual improvements and gameplay tweaks based on player feedback from the demo will also be part of the test. Importantly, the developers will use this beta to test multiplayer matchmaking improvements ahead of the early access launch.
