Elon Musk’s xAI Launches Grok Imagine: AI Video Generator with NSFW Mode

Grok Imagine

Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has rolled out a new image and video generator called Grok Imagine. This tool is now available to SuperGrok and Premium+ subscribers on the X iOS app. Grok Imagine lets users turn text or image prompts into short videos, and it includes a feature called “spicy mode”, which allows users to create NSFW content.

Grok Imagine uses AI to generate 15-second videos from user prompts. These videos come with native audio and can be created in just seconds. The tool also keeps generating more results as you scroll, making it quick and easy to use.

The results are not perfect yet. Human faces and bodies sometimes look strange, with waxy skin and cartoon-like features, but the technology is still in its early stages. Musk has said the model will “get better every day.”

Several users shared videos they created using Grok Imagine, and the results are impressive.

“Spicy mode” is a setting in Grok Imagine that lets users create semi-nude or sexually suggestive images and videos. However, there are moderation rules in place. Some explicit prompts result in blurred or blocked images. Still, users have been able to create partially nude visuals.

This feature is not a surprise. xAI had previously launched a sexualized anime AI companion, so the company seems to be okay with pushing content boundaries.

Grok Imagine is fast, smooth, and easy to use. It offers creativity tools that rival platforms like Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Runway, and others. But with NSFW content already in the mix, ethical concerns are not far behind. Like the original Grok chatbot, which drew criticism for producing misleading or hateful responses, this new tool could also cross lines if not handled properly.
