Indie developer Blargis has announced that Bloodthief, a game described as a “boomer slasher.” The game will release for PC via Steam on September 22.
Bloodthief combines retro-inspired challenge with modern movement mechanics. The game focuses on high-speed melee combat where every strike builds momentum, letting players wall-run, vault, and dash through enemies without breaking flow.
Players take on the role of a vampire whose thirst for blood powers both survival and abilities. Blood serves as more than just health. It is the key resource for speed, attacks, and special skills. By draining enemies, players can unleash devastating moves while navigating dangerous dungeons and haunted castles.
Bloodthief also features labyrinth-style dungeons with multiple paths, adding replayability and exploration to its fast action. Players will be able to test their skills against a variety of challenges and compete globally for the best times.
