Adobe Introduces Acrobat Studio an AI Hub for Managing and Creating PDFs

Acrobat Studio

Adobe says there are more than 3 trillion PDF files in use around the world, and while the format is reliable, it can also be difficult to manage. To fix that, Adobe has launched Acrobat Studio, a new AI-powered hub designed to make reading, organizing, analyzing, and even creating content around PDFs easier.

Adobe’s pitch is simple: instead of juggling a PDF reader, a note-taking app, a design tool, and a chatbot, why not use one platform for everything? Acrobat Studio brings together: Acrobat Pro tools, AI Assistants, PDF Spaces, and Adobe Express Premium.

  • Acrobat Pro tools – Edit, scan, combine, e-sign, redact, and protect PDFs. New AI features also help simplify contracts, summarize reports, and process scanned files.
  • AI Assistants – Customizable helpers that can explain complex topics, summarize long documents, brainstorm ideas, or even act like a travel planner. They provide clickable citations, so answers link back to the original files.
  • PDF Spaces – Central hubs where you can upload up to 100 files, including PDFs, Office docs, and even web pages. Everything stays in one organized workspace that can be shared with teammates, classmates, or family.
  • Adobe Express Premium – Tools for creating new content like flyers, infographics, and social media posts. Adobe Firefly’s generative AI powers text-to-image and even text-to-video features.

Adobe explains that Acrobat Studio can be used across different needs. Professionals can draft proposals and prepare presentations quickly. Students can turn class notes into study guides and flashcards with automatic citations. Everyday users can manage home renovation budgets or plan trips with help from a personal AI assistant.

While Acrobat Studio looks powerful, it isn’t perfect. Right now, the AI tools only work with English documents, and the platform cannot process handwritten notes, videos, or password-protected files. Adobe says more languages will be supported in the future.

Acrobat Studio is available globally as a web app starting today, with a 14-day free trial. Pricing begins at $24.99 per month for individuals and $29.99 per month for teams. Both plans include Acrobat Pro, AI Assistants, Express Premium, 100GB cloud storage, and 250 generative AI credits each month.
