TECNO has officially launched its new POVA series smartphones – POVA 7 5G and POVA 7 Pro 5G – in India. As promised, the new phones bring high-end features like a 144Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, large batteries, and stylish designs with a unique Delta Light Interface.
Delta Interface with Light is the most notable feature of the new POVA series. TECNO says it represents growth and change. The Pro version features a multi-functional delta light on the back made up of 104 Mini LED lights that react to music, volume changes, and more.
The phones are designed with geometric patterns, are comfortable to hold, and feel sturdy and stylish.
Both the POVA 7 and POVA 7 Pro come with a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The standard POVA 7 features an FHD+ LCD screen, while the POVA 7 Pro comes with a 1.5K AMOLED screen that reaches up to 4500 nits brightness. The Pro model also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
These phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor and come with 8GB of RAM, plus support for up to 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, expandable via microSD (only on the standard model).
The phones run HiOS 15 based on Android 15. TECNO has also promised an Android 16 update and 2 years of security updates. The phones include Ella AI, offering features like: Multilingual support, AI Call Assistant, AI Auto Answer, and Voiceprint-based noise suppression.
The POVA 7 features a 50MP main camera with a secondary lens, while the POVA 7 Pro has a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Both phones have a 13MP front camera and support 4K video recording from both front and rear.
The phones come with full 5G support, including 5G++, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and an Intelligent Signal Hub System. Other features include: Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Dual microphones, NFC, an IR sensor, and a USB Type-C.
These phones also feature an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Both devices pack a huge 6000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The POVA 7 Pro adds 30W wireless charging.
