realme has officially launched the realme 15 5G and realme 15 Pro 5G smartphones in India. As promised, these phones bring some major upgrades in design, display, performance, and battery.
Both phones feature a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED 4D curved display with 1.5K resolution. The display supports up to 6500 nits peak brightness, which is extremely bright and makes the screen easy to read even in direct sunlight. The bezels are ultra-thin, and these phones have a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. You also get PWM + DC dimming.
The realme 15 Pro 5G is the first phone in India to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, and the realme 15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ processor. Both phones come with up to 12GB of physical RAM and up to 14GB of virtual RAM. Storage goes up to 512GB (UFS 3.1) depending on the variant. To keep things cool during heavy gaming or video editing, these phones have a 7000mm² VC Cooling System.
realme 15 series runs on Android 15 with realme UI 6.0. realme has promised 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates, which is great to see at this price point. realme has added some cool camera features like MagicGlow 2.0, Party Mode, and Edit Genie.
Both phones feature a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX882 (realme 15) or Sony IMX896 (realme 15 Pro) sensor and OIS for stable shots. The realme 15 has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while the 15 Pro upgrades to a 50MP ultra-wide for the first time. There is also a 50MP front camera on both devices that supports 4K video recording. The 15 Pro also supports 4K 60 fps video recording using all cameras and can shoot HDR video using the main camera.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.5GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C 2.0. Both phones come with a 7000mAh Titan battery and support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
There is an In-display fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. These phones also have Stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio.
Despite the massive battery, these phones do not feel bulky and weigh 187g. These phones are also IP68+IP69 dust and water resistant.
