Motorola has launched its new smartphone, the moto g96 5G, in India. This is the latest addition to the company’s popular G series and brings a premium design, 5G support, and powerful performance at a mid-range price.

The phone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for smooth scrolling and gaming. It offers up to 1600 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display seems really impressive because you usually do not get a 144Hz curved OLED screen under ₹20,000. Support for HDR10+ makes it great for content consumption.

The moto g96 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It handles everyday tasks, multitasking, and even gaming well for this segment. It runs on Android 15, and Motorola has promised 3 years of OS updates along with 4 years of security updates.

The phone comes with a 50MP main rear camera featuring the Sony LYT-700C sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera that doubles as a macro shooter. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with Quad Pixel technology for sharper low-light selfies.

It has Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. So, you will enjoy good audio phone both speaker and earphones. The smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C. The moto g96 5G packs a 5500mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower fast charging.

The moto g96 5G is IP68 dust and water resistant. It measures 161.86×73.26×7.93mm and weighs 178g.

The moto g96 5G comes in four color options: PANTONE Greener Pastures, PANTONE Cattleya Orchid, PANTONE Ashleigh Blue, and PANTONE Dresden Blue.

The phone will go on sale starting July 16th on Flipkart, motorola.in, and offline retail stores.
