Vivo V50e with curved OLED display, 50MP front and rear cameras, and IP69 rating launched in India

Vivo V50e

Vivo has launched its new vivo V50e smartphone in India. It is the latest device in the V50 series and comes with several impressive features for a mid-range phone.

Design-wise, the phone looks premium. It comes in two color options — Sapphire Blue, which has an iridescent shade similar to mother-of-pearl, and Pearl White, which reflects light like flowing water. Each phone has a unique finish, so no two units look exactly the same. The phone also gets IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. You can even take underwater photos.

The phone has a large 6.77-inch full HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits peak brightness. It also has HDR10+ for an enhanced video experience. Vivo has used Diamond Shield Glass for display protection, and it also comes with an SGS five-star drop resistance certification.

The vivo V50e is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It also supports an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.

It runs on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, and vivo promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches. The phone also includes Smart AI tools like AI transcript assist, vivo live call translation, and circle to search.

On the back, there is a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, a 2x portrait mode, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It also features Aura Light for smart color temperature adjustment. You can record ultra-stable 4K videos, and there is also a wedding portrait studio mode that was first introduced in the vivo V50. It also has a 50MP front camera with eye autofocus, which is great for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type-C. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor. It packs a 5,600mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.
