Swiggy Launches Pyng App to Connect Users with Professional Experts

Pyng

Swiggy has launched a new app called Pyng to help users find professional service providers. This is a big step for the food delivery company, as it moves into a completely new market. The app is currently available in Bengaluru, and it connects users with experts from many different fields.

With Pyng, users can now find health and wellness coaches, financial advisors, astrologers, event planners, travel agents, and education or skill trainers—all in one place.

Swiggy had first launched the professional side of the app in January 2025, called Pyng Professional. That version was for service providers who wanted to join the platform. They had to fill out a form with their personal and professional details. Now, Swiggy has launched the consumer version of Pyng. This one is for people who are looking for services.

Swiggy says it has already onboarded more than 1,000 professionals across over 100 specialisations. This means users will have many options to choose from when they search for a service.

Pyng uses AI-powered matching to connect users with the right experts. The app understands what a user is looking for and then suggests professionals who fit the need. This can save users a lot of time and effort.

This move puts Swiggy in direct competition with platforms like Just Dial and Urban Company. Just Dial has been helping people find local service providers for many years. But its interface is old and not very user-friendly. Pyng offers a cleaner experience with verified experts and smart search features. That could attract younger users who prefer using apps over phone calls or long lists. Urban Company is also a strong competitor, but it mainly covers physical services. Pyng goes in a slightly different direction by focusing on professionals who offer advice and training. Still, there is some overlap between the two, especially when it comes to services like makeup artists, fitness trainers, or event planners.

This is not Swiggy’s only new app. The company has also launched Snacc, a food-focused content app. Earlier, Swiggy tried to offer everything inside its main app, like Instamart, Dineout, and entertainment events through Scenes. Now, the company is creating standalone apps for different needs. This allows each app to have its own features and identity.

By creating separate apps like Pyng and Snacc, Swiggy may be trying to build a super-app ecosystem, where users get all kinds of services under the Swiggy brand, but through focused apps instead of one large platform.

Right now, Pyng is only available in Bengaluru. But if it works well, Swiggy might expand it to other cities. It could also add more types of professionals and even allow users to book group sessions or attend live classes.

There is also a chance that Swiggy will start charging professionals to be listed on the platform or take a small commission from each booking. That is a common business model for marketplaces like this. In the long run, Pyng could become a go-to app for finding trusted experts, just like how Swiggy became popular for food delivery.
