OPPO has just launched a rugged yet affordable 5G smartphone for the Indian market — the OPPO A5 Pro 5G. The phone comes with a 120Hz display, military-grade durability, IP69 water and dust resistance, and a massive 5800mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The phone has even been built to survive real-world Indian conditions. OPPO has equipped the phone with a 360° Armour Body, which includes bionic cushioning, an aluminium motherboard cover, and 160% stronger glass than conventional screens. OPPO claims that it has passed 14 military-grade durability tests. The A5 Pro 5G is also one of the smartphones in this price range, and it features IP66, IP68, and even IP69 certification. According to OPPO, it can handle 18 types of liquid spills, including tea, coffee, milk, soda, and more
The phone sports a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Although the display is not a Full HD+ screen, OPPO compensates with 1000 nits peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility.
OPPO A5 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset — a capable 6nm processor with 5G support and decent performance for day-to-day usage. It is paired with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also runs the latest Android 15 with ColorOS 15 out of the box.
The phone packs a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP monochrome lens for depth data. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie shooter
It supports 5G SA/NSA across multiple bands, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for screen protection.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is backed by a massive 5800mAh battery, which should easily last a day and a half with moderate to heavy use. The phone also supports 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G comes in two color options: Feather Blue and Mocha Brown. It is available in two configurations:
