Acer is making a comeback in the Indian smartphone market. The Taiwanese tech brand will be selling its upcoming smartphones through Amazon India. Amazon has already created a dedicated landing page teasing the arrival of Acer smartphones. However, it does not mention the exact launch date or the names of the devices.
The company had earlier planned to launch the devices on March 25, but the launch did not take place as expected.
The teaser page features the tagline “The next horizon” and highlights a large camera module. It suggests a focus on photography. It also hints that the new smartphones may come with AI-powered features. Although the official names have not been confirmed, reports suggest that Acer may launch the Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4 smartphones. These phones were previously listed on the Acerpure website.
According to those listings, the Acerone Liquid S162E4 will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. On the other hand, the Acerone Liquid S272E4 is likely to offer a slightly larger 6.7-inch display and a customised version of the same MediaTek Helio P35 SoC.
Both smartphones are said to run on Android 14 and come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. They will also feature a 5,000mAh battery, which should deliver decent battery life for daily use. The Liquid S162E4 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel main sensor along with a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor. The Liquid S272E4 will likely include a 20-megapixel primary camera paired with a 0.3-megapixel secondary sensor. Both models are tipped to include a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Acer has not officially confirmed the launch date or specifications yet, but with Amazon’s teaser page now live, the launch seems to be just around the corner.
