Apple Launches the new iPad with A16 Chip Alongside the M3-powered iPad Air, Apple has also refreshed its standard iPad with a more powerful A16 chip and doubled the base storage. It retains the same 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display but promises better performance and efficiency.
The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display remains unchanged. It has a 2360×1640 pixels resolution and 500 nits brightness.
The new iPad packs an A16 Bionic chip that provides a significant upgrade over its predecessor. It boasts nearly 30% faster performance than the previous model and up to a 50% overall performance boost for everyday tasks. Apple also claims that the new device is 6x faster than the best-selling Android tablet. The new 11th gen iPad can handle multitasking, gaming, and creative apps more efficiently.
Apple has also doubled the base storage, so the new iPad now starts at 128GB instead of 64 GB. This means you get more space for apps, photos, and videos.
The company has kept the same 12MP rear camera on the back. For video calls, it has a 12MP ultra-wide front camera with a 122° field of view and Center Stage. The dual-microphone setup and stereo speakers ensure clearer audio for both media and calls.
It has 5G (optional), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and Touch ID. The device promises 10 hours of battery life on Wi-Fi and 9 hours on 5G.
