Sony Interactive Entertainment, along with developers Bend Studio and Climax Studios, has officially announced Days Gone Remastered for PlayStation 5.. The upgraded version of the game will launch on April 25, 202. The game costs $49.99. However, people who already own Days Gone on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the remastered edition for just $9.99. Additionally, PC players will receive the new content via the Broken Road DLC.
Days Gone Remastered is fully optimized for the PlayStation 5. It features improved graphical fidelity, enhanced shadow and lighting quality, increased foliage draw distance, and VRR support. It also allows players to choose between Quality Mode, which prioritizes resolution, or Performance Mode, which boosts frame rates for smoother gameplay. The game also takes full advantage of the Tempest 3D Audio system for an immersive auditory experience.
The game also enhances immersion with DualSense controller support. Players will feel the rumble of Deacon’s bike as they ride through the Pacific Northwest and experience the tension of various weapons.
The remastered edition brings brand-new content, adding even more depth to the gameplay experience. Players can test their survival skills in this intense new mode that increases horde sizes and introduces new threats such as evolved Freakers and hostile survivors. Players can unlock exclusive rewards, including new playable characters, cosmetics, and powerful Injectors.
The game also introduces Permadeath Mode, where players must complete Deacon St. John’s journey in a single playthrough without dying. If they fail, they must restart from the beginning or from the second act, depending on their settings. A brand-new Speedrun Mode challenges players to complete the story as quickly as possible. For virtual photographers, Days Gone Remastered features an Enhanced Photo Mode with a time-of-day setting, a three-point lighting system, and new logo options.
For PC players, all new content will be available as the Broken Road DLC for $10 via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It features Horde Assault, Permadeath Mode, Speedrun Mode, DualSense support, and Enhanced Photo Mode.
