Xiaomi has launched its latest budget smartphone Redmi 14C 5G in India. The phone has a glass back and a Starlight design inspired by the beauty and power of the cosmos. Redmi 14C 5G is the successor to Redmi 13C 5G which was launched back in December 2013.
Redmi 14C 5G features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. The display also has DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.
The smartphone packs Octa Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 4nm Mobile Platform and Adreno 613 GPU. It has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. You also get two variants: 4+64GB, 4+128GB, and 6+128GB. Redmi 14C 5G runs Android 14 with Xiaomi HyperOS out of the box. Xiaomi also promises 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
The rear camera setup includes a 50 megapixels primary camera and a secondary camera. It also has 8 megapixels front camera for video calls and selfies.
Redmi 14C 5G has a bottom-firing Speaker with 150% Super Volume and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 171.88×77.8×8.22mm and weighs 205g. The IP52 resistance makes it dust and splashproof.
Connectivity options are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C Port. Redmi 14C 5G packs a 5160mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
