The Thing: Remastered

Fans of survival horror games can now enjoy The Thing: Remastered. Developed by Nightdive Studios, The Thing: Remastered is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG. The game costs $29.99 and promises to offer the chilling experience.

The Thing: Remastered is the remaster of the 2002 cult-classic game The Thing. It is inspired by John Carpenter’s 1982 film ‘The Thing’ and is a third-person survival horror shooter game. It immerses players in a gripping and paranoia-filled journey. The remaster version uses proprietary KEX Engine to deliver modern visuals and supports up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second.

Nightdive Studios has made several graphical overhauls. It has rebuilt character models, textures, and animations with advanced 3D rendering techniques to enable realistic lighting and atmospheric effects. Upgraded graphics provide a more horrifying environment of the frozen arctic tundra and provides an immersive experience.

Players take on the role of Captain J.F. Blake, a United States Army Special Forces leader who has been tasked to investigate the mysterious events at U.S. Outpost #31. This facility has become the site of a gruesome alien attack.

The Thing: Remastered offers an expanded Storyline. You will lead a team of up to four characters from diverse roles—Soldier, Medic, and Engineer. Another notable thing is the loyalty and fear levels of your squad members. It can make or break your survival.

The Thing: Remastered is available now, so try it if you enjoy playing survival horror games. Check out the official launch trailer to get a glimpse of the game.
