Poco has officially confirmed the global launch of its new F9 series. The lineup will include the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, with both smartphones set to launch on September 1. The company will reveal the phones during an online event.
Ahead of the launch, Poco has also shared the first official look at the two smartphones. The F9 Pro will be available in an Aurora Green colour, while the F9 Ultra has been shown in a Dark Cherry finish.
The design also confirms earlier reports that the new Poco phones are based on Xiaomi’s Redmi K100 series. The F9 Pro is expected to be the global version of the Redmi K100 Pro, while the F9 Ultra is likely based on the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
Poco has not revealed the specifications yet, but a recent leak has already shared most of the expected hardware. The F9 Pro is reportedly equipped with a 6,330mAh battery, while the F9 Ultra could feature a much larger 8,050mAh battery. The rest of the specifications are expected to remain largely unchanged from the corresponding Redmi models.
The pricing has also leaked ahead of the launch. The Poco F9 Pro is expected to cost around €799, while the F9 Ultra could be priced at approximately €999.
Poco is expected to confirm the complete specifications, storage options and official pricing when the F9 series launches globally on September 1.
