Vivo today launched Vivo Y300 5G in its Y series of smartphones in India. The phone comes with a 6.67-inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 50+2 MP rear camera, 32 MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery. Now let’s talk about the phone in detail.
Vivo Y300 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1800 nits peak brightness. It also boasts 100% DCI-P3 and 107% NTSC Color Gamut.
The smartphone packs Octa Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 4nm Mobile Platform and Adreno 613 GPU. It also has 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and is offered with 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Internal storage is further expandable up to 1TB.
The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor and f/1.79 aperture. It also has 2 megapixels portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture. For low-light selfies, it also has Dual LED flash and Aura light. The smartphone has 32 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Vivo Y300 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has Stereo Speakers and supports USB Type-C audio. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and USB Type-C. The phone also packs a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
Vivo Y300 costs Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 23,999. It comes in Phantom Purple, Emerald Green, and Titanium Silver colors. The smartphone will be available to pre-order from vivo.com and offline stores starting from November 26th.
The phone looks good in terms of specs, except for the SoC. Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is an entry-level mobile platform and offering it with a phone that costs more than Rs. 20000 is not the right thing to do. Just to give you an idea about the competition, POCO M6 Pro also packs the same SoC and costs Rs. 11000.
