TECNO has launched its latest budget smartphone, TECNO POP 9, in India. The phone comes with a 90Hz display, MediaTek G50 Processor, and a 5000 mAh battery.
TECNO POP 9 features a 6.67-inch HD (720×1600 pixels) display with 90Hz Refresh Rate and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The display also boasts 480 nits of brightness.
This is the first phone in India to come with a MediaTek G50 Processor. The SoC also includes a Mali-IMG PowerVR GE8320 CPU. The phone has 3GB LPDDR4x RAM and also supports 3GB of virtual RAM. It also has 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 1TB.
The smartphone runs Android 14 GO based on HiOS 14. Tecno boasts 3 years of lag-free performance.
It has a 13-megapixel rear camera on the back. The camera app has several modes, including 4X Digital Zoom, AI Cam, Video, Beauty Mode, Portrait, Time-Lapse, Panorama, Professional, and Slow Motion. It also supports 1080p video recording. For selfies, the phone also has an 8 megapixels front camera and a Dual Flash.
There’s a dual speakers setup with DTS. It also has a built-in Infrared sensor and the fingerprint sensor is on the side button. Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.
TECNO POP 9 packs a 5000 mAh battery that promises 9.5 Hours of video playback and 100 Hours of music playback. It also supports 15W charging.
TECNO POP 9 has an IP54 rating to offer a splashproof body. It measures 165.62mm x 77.01mm x 8.35mm (8.55mm in the leather variant) and weighs 188.5g.
TECNO POP 9 is priced at Rs. 6,699 but will be available at Rs. 6,499 with Rs. 200 bank offers. It will be available on Amazon starting 26th November
