Xiaomi just introduced its latest flagship phone Xiaomi 15 in China. This is one of the first phones to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and also offers several improvements over its predecessor.
Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch 1.5K M9 12-bit OLED LTPO display with 120Hz variable refresh rate and up to 3200 nits peak brightness The display panel has HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. It also has Xiaomi Ceramic Glass Protection 2.0 to protect the display from scratches.
The smartphone packs Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm SoC with Adreno 830 GPU. It comes in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB models. Xiaomi has added LPPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for faster performance.
The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with 1/ 1.31″ Light Fusion 900 sensor and Hyper OIS. It also has 50 megapixels 115° Leica ultra-wide angle camera and 50 megapixels 2.6X 10cm to Infinity Leica telephoto camera with OIS. The phone also supports 8K video recording. It also has 32 megapixels front camera with 4K 60 fps video recording.
Xiaomi 15 has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. It also has Stereo speakers with support for Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, NavIC, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1, and NFC.
The phone also packs a 5400mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, magnetic charging, and 10W wireless charging.
The phone features a flat one-piece aviation-grade aluminum frame with rounded corners and sharp edges. It has a 71.2mm ultra-narrow body to make it comfortable for one-hand usage.
There is also a Xiaomi 15 Diamond Limited Edition in 3 fashionable colors including glacier white, elephant gray, and orange with a diamond inlaid middle frame. These phones have crocodile skin texture and Kona leather back panel.
Xiaomi 15 starts at 4499 yuan and the Xiaomi 15 Diamond Limited Edition costs 5999 yuan. The phone is now available to order in China and will go on sale from October 31st.
