Rockstar has confirmed that its Red Dead Redemption will arrive on PC on October 29. The game will also include its standalone zombie expansion Undead Nightmare. PC gamers will be able to get the game from Rockstar Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The port was handled by a British game studio Double Eleven which also worked on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch ports. Double Eleven is also known for the ports of Grounded, Fallout 76, Rust, Minecraft Dungeons, and Limbo.
The PC port of Red Dead Redemption will come with several features including HDR10 support, support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) monitors, and native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware. It will have full keyboard and mouse functionality along with settings for shadows, draw distance, and more. The game will also support NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.0, and NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation.

Red Dead Redemption is an open-world action-adventure game. It follows John Marston who works for the U.S. government to bring his old gang to justice. The storyline is set in the American Old West. It is a single-player game with several interesting activities including hunting, fishing, poker, and shootouts. There’s also an online multiplayer mode that lets players compete in various challenges and activities.
Red Dead Redemption was first released for PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010. It was re-released for PS4 and Switch in 2023. Now the game is coming to PC. It is worth noting that prequel Red Dead Redemption 2 has already been available for PC since 2019.
