Polaroid, the iconic instant photography brand, has announced its official entry into the Indian market. The brand aims to target India’s youth and photography enthusiasts who like to have instant cameras and physical prints. The company has partnered with Luxury Personified for the India launch. Luxury Personified has a strong network of distribution channels and retail outlets for selling products across the country.

Polaroid is launching a range of instant cameras including Polaroid I -2, Polaroid Now Generation 2, Polaroid Go Generation 2, and Polaroid Now Plus Generation 2 Polaroid. These products offer features like autofocus and double exposure while maintaining an eco-friendly design for catering to a diverse customer base.

Monica Tsang, Vice President of Polaroid Asia-Pacific, expressed excitement about the brand’s expansion into India. “We are thrilled to expand our brand footprint in India, a market that embodies creativity and innovation. Our partnership with Luxury Personified marks an exciting chapter for Polaroid, as we aim to create new milestones in the instant photography industry.”

Polaroid products will be sold from different Indian e-commerce platforms including Amazon India, Flipkart, imaging stores, LFRs, and specialty shops.

While smartphones have dominated the Indian photography market for years, the instant camera market in India is growing steadily. Polaroid has a strong brand recognition that could give it a significant advantage in the Indian market. However, Polaroid will face competition from other brands offering instant cameras, as well as smartphones with advanced photography features.
