OPPO has launched its latest smartphone OPPO K12 Plus. OPPO K12 Plus comes with a 120Hz display. Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, 50+8MP rear camera, 16MP selfie camera, and 6400mAh battery. Oppo talks a lot about durability. Now let’s have a look at the specs and design.
OPPO K12 Plus features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. The smartphone runs Android 14 with colorOS 14 out of the box.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm) SoC with Adreno 720 GPU. It comes in three models: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. OPPO has used LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. OPPO K12 Plus also has a large 4192mm² super large liquid-cooled VC heat sink and graphite sheets to provide a total heat dissipation area of 11147mm². It boasts effective cooling and keeps the phone’s temperature under control. The phone also has a microSD card to expand storage up to 1TB.
The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. It also has an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX355 sensor For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel front camera.
It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is also an IR sensor that lets you control household appliances using the phone. The phone also has 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NFC connectivity.
OPPO K12 Plus packs a 6400mAh battery and supports 80W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging and 10W wired reverse charging. Oppo also primes 4 years of battery health and 4-year battery replacement
The smartphone has a textured design for the Snow Peak White that has an exclusive crystal diamond pattern flash. The Basalt Black variant feels like a mountain ridge after the snow melts.
The phone is also IP54 dust and splash-resistant. It measures 162.47×75.33×8.37mm and weighs 193g. It adopts a diamond shock-absorbing structure that has been designed in a way to patent key parts and reduce damage to the motherboard when falling. The phone has also obtained the Swiss SGS five-star whole machine anti-fall and fall certification. Oppo claims that buttons have passed 300,000 button press tests and USB has passed 20,000 USB plug-in tests.
