Oppo India has launched a cross-country warranty service on select devices in India and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Customers with eligible devices can avail of comprehensive warranty, repair, and upgrade services at authorized OPPO service centers in these regions.

Cross-border warranty between India and GCC countries

GCC countries include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. If You purchase devices from any of the GCC countries, you can avail of warranty services in India. The vice versa is also true.

This new cross-border warranty service is available on several Oppo smartphones including Oppo A3x, Oppo A3, Oppo A3 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno 12 series, and Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G. To avail of the cross-border warranty service, customers need to present their original purchase receipt and warranty card at an authorized service center

Oppo suggests customers take a backup of their data before visiting Oppo’s authorized service center. The warranty period on a device begins after activation of the E-Warranty card. If the device is not under warranty, you will be charged for repair services.

At a time when economic and trade ties between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are increasing, cross-border seamless after-sales services will be helpful for customers. It allows customers to purchase the device in one country and get it repaired in another.

Now that the global smartphone market is evolving, it is likely that more brands will follow suit and offer similar cross-border warranty services. Apple already offers cross-border warranties across the globe. This is the reason several people purchase iPhones from countries like Japan, Dubai, or Hong Kong to get them it a lower price and use them in India without any worry.
