Qualcomm is set to unveil its next-generation processors at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit scheduled for October 21. One of the rumored chipsets is the Snapdragon 8 Elite. OnePlus 13 will reportedly be the first phone to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Based on early reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is rumored to feature Oryon CPU cos. The high-performance cores could exceed 4GHz and Qualcomm’s upgraded Adreno graphics architecture. We can already guess that the chipset will pack a powerful AI engine to enable advanced on-device AI tasks. The SoC will support four-channel LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
A OnePlus employee Cai Zuxuan, made a post on Weibo to confirm that OnePlus 13 will feature a customized version of the Snapdragon processor. He also claims that the SoC beats the A18 Pro in energy efficiency. Although he didn’t directly mention the Snapdragon 8 Elite, mostly probably he is talking about it.

Another report also confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will have two variants: SM8750 and SM8750P. But there could be another variant specifically customized for OnePlus. We have already seen the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy that was Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 customized for Samsung devices.
OnePlus 13 will feature a 6.8-inch BOE X2 LTPO AMOLED display with 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. It will also feature an anti-reflective coating and curved edges. The display has already obtained the world’s first DisplayMate A++ certification.

OnePlus, OPPO, and BOE also announced a joint event for October 15th to introduce a new flagship BOE screen for the upcoming OnePlus 13. We should know more details about the display.
OnePlus 13 could also feature a triple camera setup with 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera. It should also offer a 32MP front camera.
The phone is also expected to feature a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
