Last year, Motorola introduced ThinkPhone for business and corporate users. The phone was inspired by Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptop lineup. Today, the company has launched the successor to the phone dubbed ThinPhone 25. If you look at the specifications, the Motorola ThinkPhone 25 seems similar to the Motorola Edge 50 neo with a ThinkPhone design aesthetic.
ThinkPhone 25 runs Android 14 out of the box and Motorola promises five years of OS updates and security patches till 2029. This is also similar to Edge 50 Neo.
It also comes with ThinkShield security for protecting device data from malware, phishing, and other threats. There are also hardware-based AI security features. ThinkPhone 25 has a deep integration with Lenovo PCs and Motorola tablets to offer centralized notifications, the ability to use the phone camera as a webcam, automatic sync along with a shared keyboard and mouse feature.
With Moto Device Manager, Motorola is also catering to business IT departments. It lets organizations have control over their mobile assets to ensure compliance and security. It works in the same way your corporate laptops are managed by your company’s IT departments.
The phone has MIL-STD-810H certification to provide military-grade durability and an IP68 rating to ensure dust and water resistance.
ThinkPhone 25 features a 6.36-inch 1220p pOLED display which makes it smaller compared to its predecessor. The display features a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. The display panel also has 3,000 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The phone packs Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. It also has RAM boost feature for virtual RAM expansion.
It has a triple camera that includes a 50 megapixels Sony LYT-700C sensor, 13 megapixels ultra-wide-angle camera, and 10 megapixels telephoto camera with 3x zoom. The phone also has 32 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
ThinkPhone 25 has an in-display fingerprint sensor for a biometric lock. The phone packs a 4,310 mAh battery with support for 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The company promises around 34 hours of battery life.
ThinkPhone 25 is priced at €499/£450 and will be available starting from November.
